Shareece Cannonier, PsyD completed doctoral training in 2019 at Albizu University, a Hispanic serving institution that infused diversity awareness in every course. Dr. Cannonier conceptualizes clients from a systems-based, psychodynamic orientation and primarily utilizes cognitive-behavioral interventions in sessions. She is also open to incorporating principles of spirituality with clients who value this perspective. Research supports the value of the therapeutic alliance; therefore, Dr. Cannonier aims to create a safe space while collaborating as a team to achieve your goals.

Dr. Cannonier was born and raised in St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands where she began her clinical training. She has worked with children and adolescents in outpatient settings and inpatient treatment facilities. Her experience with adults ranges from working with young adults at counseling centers to older adults at nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. She treats a range of disorders and difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral disorders, life transitions, identity concerns, and grief.
